Campsite FAQs

When is it?
The weekend of the 3rd - 6th of July 2026 (with the BBQ on the evening of the 4th).

Where is it?
A secluded spot in the rural heart of Leicestershire. Please see the TG link in the UKRES 1R group for more info (if you're not a member you can join here).

What facilities are there?
Toilets & showers and a communal kitchen with electricity points to charge phones!

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, but they need to be well behaved and/or on a lead.

Can I bring the kids?
Sorry, the site is strictly over 18s only

What are the campsite opening times?
Check-in after midday Friday and checkout before midday Monday.

Will I be able to charge my phone?
Yes, the kitchen has electricity.

What is the campsite noise/music policy?
Please keep noise down on the campsite after 22:00

Food FAQs

How will you cater for my specific dietary requirements?
When booking, please add notes to your slot in the "dietary requirements" box. Please be as precise as possible as to what you'd like us to provide (e.g. if you're a vegetarian and particularly like one brand of burger/sausage, let us know and we'll make sure we add it to the menu). Please add to your note the number of members in your booking to whom this requirement applies (if you don't we'll assume this requirement applies to all members of your booking and will prepare the meals accordingly).

What will be on the menu?
The BBQ will include sausages, burgers (inc vegetarian/vegan) halloumi skewers, salads & slaws, couscous, rice, sides, condiments and so on. Rest assured, there'll be plenty for a second (or third) plate!
Breakfasts will include bacon (or veggie sausages), eggs, beans, bread, condiments and drinks (orange/apple juice, tea, coffee).
Friday's takeaway will most likely be from the local fish & chip shop and is not included in the cost (cash will likely be needed to pay for this, so please bring some)
There will also be snacks, soft-drinks including tea, coffee, cola, lemonade & juice etc throughout the weekend and although there will of course be cake, please bring your own alcoholic drinks.

What if I prefer to self-cater?
Rest assured, all dietary requirements will be catered for, but note that putting together this type of event takes a lot of planning and we've tried to keep it simple by including everything. In short, it takes a lot more work to try and calculate who may want breakfast one day but not the next, versus who want the BBQ, but only for one in their party who doesn't want breakfast but does want drinks and so on. Please bear this in mind but don't let it be a "deal-breaker." If you really need us to make an exception, please let one of the orga team know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Payment FAQs

Are the prices fixed or will they change?
We have a limited number of camping spots. As such it's quite difficult to budget for this type of venture and whilst most of us have had experience in getting Ingress agents together, we're more than aware of just how much it is like herding cats! Therefore whilst we've made a best guess as to the cost, it's possible that this might change as the event date nears and we may have to increase the prices accordingly. If this happens, those who have already booked places may be asked to contribute a little more toward their existing booking (perhaps £5), but only if it becomes obvious that any price increases on new bookings won't be enough to cover the cost of the event. On the other hand, if we receive more funds than are required, we'll ensure it goes towards additional cake and/or beer!

How do I pay for my booking?
When you book you'll receive an email with payment instructions. Please pay within 24 hours of booking using your booking reference as the payment reference so we know which booking to assign the payment to.

I think I've booked but can't remember if I paid a deposit or how much I still need to pay. Can you tell me?
Please check your booking history in your account here. This should tell you what you've booked and how much you have paid including any balance due. (Tip; view your booking then scroll to the bottom to see the most recent transactions).
